Financial Inclusion

People experiencing financial distress, particularly those on low incomes, are often reluctant to talk about their problems or seek help. And the complexity of different financial products, and the benefits and allowances systems, often makes the idea of finding a solution seem impossible.

Together Kent works through churches, charities and local community groups to tackle these issues. We organise Cash Smart:Credit Savvy sessions to teach people including sixth formers, about budgeting and money management, and to help build up their financial confidence. We partner with the Kent Savers Credit Union to increase the supply of fair and affordable finance.
