A schools project to celebrate Refugee Week.

Domenica has a hard job choosing which paintings to bring to the UK
Just some of the artwork produced in Calais

Together Kent has been supporting the Diocesan Refugee Officer, Domenica Pecoraro, in bringing artwork from the Secours Catholique day centre for migrants and refugees in Calais to schools in Kent. Domenica works with primary school age children to help them respond with artworks of their own which are taken back to Calais for display at the centre. The children's artwork consists of thoughts and poems as well as drawings and helps them to empathise with those in Calais.

Many thanks to the staff and children of Christ Church CEP Academy in Folkestone and the Boughton under Blean and Dunkirk Primary School near Faversham.
